Greetings from Our President Deola Smith

It is both an honor and a responsibility to serve as President of the Central Mississippi Association of REALTIST®. As we continue to build upon the strong foundation laid by those before us, I remain committed to growing our organization with both legacy and future in mind.

Our legacy reminds us why we exist, to advocate for fair housing, equal opportunity, and economic empowerment through homeownership. The work of the REALTIST® has always been bigger than transactions. It is about transforming neighborhoods, families, and futures.

As we look ahead, our focus is clear:

• Strengthening CMAR as the organization of choice for networking and professional development.

• Creating meaningful collaboration among Realtist®, brokers, and industry partners.

• Expanding sustainable homeownership opportunities throughout our communities.

Growth for CMAR means impact. It means equipping our members with the tools, resources, and relationships necessary to thrive in today’s evolving market. It means ensuring our community members are not just purchasing homes but building generational wealth through informed, sustainable homeownership options.

I am dedicated to building an environment where REALTIST® professionals feel supported, empowered, and connected. CMAR will continue to be a space where partnerships are formed, leaders are developed, and excellence is cultivated.
